New UWS Development

Some exciting news for the Upper West Side. The El-Ad Group filed plans this week with the Department of Buildings to make their mark in the rapid growing neighborhood with a new development.

1 West End Avenue will see a new 42 story Luxury Building, situated between West 59th and West 60th Streets, containing 374 residential units, about 125,000 square feet of commercial space and a parking garage with 450 spaces.

West End Avenue is formerly known as eleventh Avenue.  West End avenue has become one of the most desired living areas in all of the Upper West Side.  1 West End Avenues’ completion date is not yet known. The project still has to overcome some tedious and time consuming hurdles and as usual, there will be some opposition to the change in the area. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.

UPDATE: On December 16, 2013 1 West End Avenue, NY 10023 traded in the amount $168,399,863.01. The purchaser, Silverstein Properties will continue the development on the 932,780 sqft parcel.
